The annual festive swims in County Waterford are among the highlights of the annual Christmas and New Year holiday season locally.

The fact the swims are usually held to support local charities and community organisations is an added bonus.

The most recent swims were a great success with the events in Tramore and Ballymacaw attracting great numbers of participants and interested spectators.

Waterford News & Star photographer, Joe Evans, was on hand to capture the fun of the events. Photos will also appear in next week's print edition of the newspaper and hard copy prints of all photos are available to purchase from our office on Gladstone Street.
