Confusion over usage of Ring Doorbells on Council properties
He hopes to hear the installed wireless indoor ring speaker activate.
An issue has arose regarding the legality of using Ring Doorbells on council properties.
Cllr Eamon Quinlan said that elderly residents have been informed they are not permitted to install Ring doorbells.
"I think its very unsatisfactory," he said.
The residents are living in council properties acquired through an Approved Housing Body.
Cllr Quinlan asked for consistency between the regulations from Approved Housing Bodies and the Council itself, saying: “This is another deviation of standards from people who take a Council house directly from us versus people who take a house from an AHB."
