The Ballinvella Community Walk organisers presented the West Waterford Mental Health Awareness Group with a cheque for €400

A sense of community was very much in evidence in County Waterford recently when a fundraising walk was very well supported within a local community.

The Ballinvella Community Walk was organised in support of mental health awareness and in particular for the West Waterford Mental Health Awareness Group (WWMHAG)

The organisers of the walk were delighted with how the event unfolded.

They took great pleasure in presenting representatives of the WWMHAG with a cheque for €400 on Tuesday evening, May 27.

"It was a great effort by all who participated in the recent Ballinvella Community Wellness Walk and kindly filled the hungry fundraising buckets," commented one of the organisers to waterford-news.ie (Waterford News & Star).

"A generous donation of €400 was presented to Donnchadh, Moira, and Lisa from the West Waterford Mental Health Awareness Group," she added.

The committee member went on to comment: "It is wonderful to see it shared to such an important and crucial cause in the local and wider communities."

"Well done to everyone involved in the Ballinvella Community Walk, the team at the West Waterford Mental Health Awareness Group, and to all those supporting mental health awareness," said the spokesperson.
