Christmas tree shredding in Waterford

Natural Christmas trees will be accepted for recycling free of charge at civic amenity sites in Waterford until January 13.
With Christmas trees having their last hurrah in homes across Waterford, recycling centres are now accepting them for shredding.
Natural Christmas trees will be accepted for recycling free of charge at the following civic amenity sites until January 13, 2025.
The civic amenity site in Kilbarry, Waterford city, well accept Christmas trees Monday to Friday from 11am to 4pm.
Dungarvan's civic amenity site at Ballinamuck will accept Christmas trees Monday to Thursday from 8.30am to 1pm and 1.30pm to 4pm. It will also accept discarded Christmas trees on Saturday from 9am to 12.30pm.
Waterford City and County Council also reminds householders to recycle your batteries. You can use the battery collection boxes in your home, school, work place, and local shop, and/or bring them to your local civic amenity site.
You should also recycle all other appropriate material. Put beverage cartons into your green bin, as well as cardboard, paper, food and drink cans. Bring glass and cans to your local recycling centre.
If a bring bank is full, don’t leave materials on the ground, use your nearest alternative site or come back another day.
