Christmas in the Waterford churches
Mass and service times across Waterford this Christmas.
Christmas Eve mass will take place in Garranbane Church at 5pm, at 6pm in Ballinroad Church and at Abbeyside Church at 7.00pm. Christmas morning masses in the parish will be at Abbeyside Church at both 9.30am and 12pm. Mass at Ballinroad Church will be at 10am and at 11am in Garranbane Church.
Aglish Parish will have Christmas Eve mass at the Church of Our Lady of the Assumption at 7.00pm and in Ballinameela at 7.00pm. On Christmas Day, mass will be celebrated in Mount Stuart at 11.15am.
Masses on Christmas Eve will be at 9.30am in Ardfinnan, with confession available after mass, and Vigil Mass at 7pm, which will be broadcast online. On Christmas Day, mass will be held at 10.30am in Grange and at 12pm in Ballybacon.
Christmas Eve mass in Ardmore parish will be at 7.30pm in Ardmore Church and mass on Christmas Day will be in Grange Church at 10.30am.
The parish of Ballybricken will have mass at 8pm on Christmas Eve and at 10.30am on both Christmas Day and St. Stephen’s Day.
Christmas Eve vigil mass is set to take place in Tallow Parish at 6.30pm and on December 25 at 9am. At St Michael's Ballyduff Upper, mass is scheduled for 8pm on Christmas Eve followed by morning mass at 11am on Christmas Day.
A Christmas Eve vigil will be held at 6pm with music from the parish choir at St Mary’s Church at Grangemockler. Ballyneale will have Vigil Mass at 8pm. On Christmas Day, mass will be at 10.30am in Ballyneale.
Christmas masses at Cappoquin will take place at 10am on Christmas Eve followed by a Vigil mass at 9pm. Christmas morning mass will be celebrated at 11.30. Masses in Modeligo will be at 11am on Christmas Eve with vigil mass at 7pm and mass at 10am on Christmas Day.
Christmas Eve vigil mass at St. Patrick’s church will be at 6pm with the Newtown School Children's choir. Mass at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Carrick-on-Suir will be held at 7.30pm with St. Christopher’s Choir. On Christmas Day, there will be two masses at St. Nicholas Church at 8.30am and 10.30am – the latter being a Toy Mass, where younger parish members are encouraged to bring a toy they received from Santa for a blessing.
Vigil masses will be held in both St. Molleran’s and in Windgap at 6pm on Christmas Eve, with another mass in St. Molleran’s at 8pm. Christmas morning mass will be celebrated at 10am in St. Molleran’s.
Christmas Vigil Mass will be held at Waterford Cathedral at 7.30pm, with two masses, at 8.30am and 12pm, being celebrated on Christmas Day. Confessions will be heard on Christmas Eve from 11am - 1pm and from 2pm - 5pm.
Masses in Clashmore Parish will be spread across two churches, with Christmas Eve mass taking place at 6pm in St Bartholomew’s Church, Piltown and the Christmas morning mass taking place in St. Cronan's Church, Clashmore at 10am.
Mass at St. Mary's Church, Dungarvan will be at 9pm on Christmas Eve, followed by masses at 10am and 12pm on Christmas Day. Confessions will be heard from 12-1pm and 2-3pm on Christmas Eve.
In Dunhill and Fenor, a 7.30pm vigil mass will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, Fenor and Christmas Day mass will take place at 10am in Sacred Heart Church in Dunhill.
In Ferrybank Church, on Christmas Eve, the family Mass will be held at 5.30pm followed by the vigil mass at 8.00pm. Slieverue Church will have Mass at 7.00pm. On Christmas Day, there will be two masses in Ferrybank Church at 9.30am and 11.30am, with mass in Slieverue at 10.30am.
There will be three masses on Christmas Eve in Holy Family parish, with morning mass at 10am followed by the family mass at 5pm and night mass at 8pm, with a carol service at 7.30pm. Dawn mass on Christmas Day is set for 10am, with another mass scheduled for 12pm.
There will be no mass at St. Patrick’s Church in Kilbrien on Christmas Eve but mass will be celebrated on Christmas Day at 10am. St. Anne’s Church in Colligan will be at 7pm on December 24, and 12pm on December 25. At St. Gobnait’s Church in Kilgobinet, mass will only be held at 11.30am on Christmas Day.
Christmas Eve mass will be celebrated at 6.00pm at St John the Baptist, Crooke and at 8.00pm at Holy Cross, Killea. On Christmas morning, three masses will be taking place across the parish, at 8.30am in Holy Cross, Killea, at 10.00am in St Nicholas, Faithlegg, and at 11.30am in St John the Baptist, Crooke.

Mass on Christmas Eve in Piltown, Co. Killkenny will be held at the Church of the Assumption at 6pm, morning mass on Christmas Day will be held at 11am.
Christmas Eve masses in the parish will be at 8pm in both St. Patrick’s Church in Portlaw and St. Nicholas’ Church, Ballyduff. On Christmas Day, morning mass will be at 10am in Ballyduff and at 11.30am in Portlaw.
