Concerns have been raised by a number of local representatives regarding parking issues at Fraher Field.

Cllr Damien Geoghegan discussed the issue at a recent meeting of the local authority, saying, “I ask that the council, in conjunction with the gardaí, and Waterford County GAA Board, sit down together and figure out the parking plan for Fraher Field. Last week there was quite a big game there, and there was chaos up the nearby Sycamores housing estate. I was inundated with complaints."

Cllr Tom Cronin added, “We’re in a situation now where there’s a serious problem with parking and there’s no solution," whilst Pat Nugent said, “This is a total and utter disaster.”

Gabriel Hynes, Senior Engineer with Waterford Council responded to the frustrations, saying, “We certainly can meet and see what plan we can put in place to alleviate some of the parking issues. We do it for Walsh Park, and there’s no reason we can't do it for Dungarvan."
