Bring Bank to be removed in Waterford City

Waterford City & County Council has announced its intention to remove a bring bank that is currently located in Maypark Lane.
The move is to be carried out in order to facilitate the construction of the new UHW Surgical Unit at the same location.
In an online notice the local authority said: "It is necessary to remove the bring bank currently located at Maypark Lane. The bring bank will be removed from Monday, August 12."
The local authority apologised for any inconvenience caused as a result of the removal of the bring bank. Members of the public wishing to find alternative bring bank location are advised to go online at https://bringbanks.waterfordcouncil.ie/
The public are also reminded not leave leave any bottles, bags or boxes etc. on the ground at bring bank locations and in its notice stated: 'If it’s not in the bin, its littering.'
