Author Brian Kelly will be speaking on his new book detailing Waterford’s 1959 All-Ireland team at Ardkeen Library tomorrow.
A passionate Waterford hurling fan and author, Brian’s new book titled '59: An Eyewitness Account of Hurling's Golden Age', explores the legacy of that iconic team.
At the upcoming talk, Brian will share the journey behind his research and bring to life stories from Waterford’s last All-Ireland victory.
Told through the voices of the players, both from the Waterford panel and their rivals, the book captures the triumphs and adventures of that unforgettable year.
From facing the Rest of Ireland team to playing in Wembley Stadium and touring New York, Brian’s talk promises a fascinating dive into the highs of hurling history.
Brian’s book also paints a vivid picture of life in 1959 Ireland, blending thrilling match accounts with rich social history.
The event takes place at Ardkeen Library on Tuesday February 25 at 6.30pm.
The event is free, however booking is required through Ardkeen Library.
