Body of a man discovered in Waterford - Garda witness appeal

Following the discovery of a body in County Waterford, the missing person appeal for Michal Piotrowski has been stood down.

The discovery was made on Thursday, March 7.

Mr Piotrowski was last seen leaving University Hospital Waterford on December 19, 2023.

An extensive search by the Garda dog unit was carried out close to the Waterford Castle Ferry area in January, however, there was no further trace of Mr Piotrowski detected at the time.

Mr Piotrowski was a New Ross resident for almost 20 years.

A media appeal also extended to an interview with his daughter and granddaughter on RTÉ’s Crimecall who, during the interview, pleaded for information about their missing family member and told the programme they missed him very much.
