Waterford City and County Council’s Integrated Homeless Services Severe Weather Protocol will be in operation during Storm Bram.

Extra beds will be made available at McGwire House.

The council say the Outreach Team from Waterford Integrated Homeless Services has been in contact with those they know sleep on the streets.

STATUS ORANGE 

Waterford will be under a status yellow weather warning from 9pm on Monday night to 9am on Tuesday morning.

Met Éireann expect heavy rain with the potential for river flooding and surface water.

From 7am on Tuesday, the county will be under an orange weather warning as Storm Bram brings very strong to gale force southerly winds, with the strongest winds along the coast.

Coastal flooding, wave overtopping, loose debris and difficult travel conditions are expected.

After-hours calls will be transferred to the Council’s emergency services number.
