A little drive could go a long way this weekend, as the Drive for your Community initiative comes to Waterford

Ford Ireland is bringing its ‘Drive for your Community’ initiative to Waterford this weekend, giving local drivers the opportunity to get behind the wheel of a brand-new Ford while raising vital funds for Irish Guide Dogs.

The event, taking place at Waterford Retail Park, Cork Road, Butlerstown, Co. Waterford on Saturday, September 19, is part of Ford Ireland’s nationwide Drive for your Community campaign, which returns for its second year following the success of the 2025 initiative.

Last autumn the campaign raised €26,310 for Irish Guide Dogs. This year, Ford has teamed up with the charity once again, with an expanded series of test-drive events taking place across the country.

For every valid test drive taken at the Waterford event, Ford will donate €30 to Irish Guide Dogs, with up to 200 test drives and a maximum donation of €6,000 possible this Saturday.

Local drivers will have the opportunity to experience Ford’s latest range of vehicles, including the All-Electric Explorer, All-Electric Capri and All-Electric Puma Gen-E, while helping to support the life-changing work of Irish Guide Dogs.
