St Mary’s had an excellent game against Butlerstown in the Bob Keane Memorial Cup Tournament last weekend and emerged victorious on a scoreline of 5-17 to 3-15.
It was great to see a big turnout on the night in remembrance of Bob’s lifetime dedication to the club. After the match Bob’s nephew Thomas Keane presented the memorial cup to winning captain, Killian Tobin.

The numbers drawn in the latest Sliabh gCua Lotto were 6, 10 and 16. There was no jackpot winner, however, the five €20 winners were composed of Joseph Connors, Veronica and Johnny Troy, Delores and Sean Guiry, Tommy Morrisson and Logan Burke. The promoter’s prize of €20 was won by Thomas Keane. Next week’s draw is for a jackpot of €3,400.
Also a reminder to all that the half yearly lotto tickets will be due for renewal at the end of this month. If you’re not in – you can’t win!
Congratulations and well done to Thomas (Tyler) Walsh who was appointed referee for the Kilkenny/Dublin Leinster Final last weekend. Thomas has worked long and hard at crafting his career as a GAA referee and it is great to see his hard work being rewarded.

Last week’s riddle was: You get trapped in a psycho’s mansion during a power outage. You try to get out by going through a series of rooms. The first room is blue, the second one is also blue, but the third one is golden. After you go through all of these rooms you find the psycho. He tells you that in order to go free, you need to either hold your breath under water for 10 minutes, wrestle a large bear or sit in the electric chair for 10 seconds while it is on. Which should you choose?
Answer: The electric chair – because there is a power outage!
This weeks riddle is: I can be long, I can be short; I can be grown or I can be bought; I can be painted, or left bare; I can be round or I can be square.
