Heavy traffic enroute to All Together Now festival

Heavy traffic is already being reported as people head to this year's All Together Now festival.

The festival has returned to Curraghmore Estate in Waterford for its seventh year starting this Friday. With an estimated 35,000 festivalgoers set to attend, traffic has picked up with Thursday's opening of the camping sites.

Organisers have advised festivalgoers not to depend on directions from a sat nav or Google Maps to get to the site, as it will not get you all the way through the diversions. Instead, follow festival signs as soon as you see them.

The gates opened Thursday afternoon at the Curraghmore Estate in Waterford.

People heading via the M9 Dublin to Waterford motorway are being advised to then take the N25 and follow signage through Portlaw village.

Those coming from Cork will be directed left off the N25 at Lemybrien, and motorists taking the N24 via Tipperary will exit at Kilsheelan and follow signage.

Finally, those coming from the West or Midlands through Tipperary are to turn right at Kilsheelan and follow the R680.
