The seniors had a terrific win over Roanmore in the quartr final on Sunday week last, in Walsh Park. Despite losing a man after just two minutes they went in at half time 6 points behind but played with a strong breeze in the second half and gradually reduced the deficit. The backs again were terrific and when Mark Fitzgerald went to the attack, Passage went ahead with a terrific goal from inter-county star Mark Fitzgerald, who once again was tops. Up front, Thomas Carey hit over all the frees he got, some from very wide angles, and added another two from play. Eoin Connors introduction at half time was also a big boost and Gary Cullinane excelled in defence and hit over two long range points while Sean Kelly, up front, roamed all over the pitch following and harassing Roanmore backs on the way out.
Passage have improved with each game. They faced Ballygunner in the semi final on Sunday last in Walsh Park, news next week on that game. They had a good season with several wins and on Monday week last the Junior C team were beaten by Clonea in their semi-final, in Fenor, and again they had a very good run. The minors continued their fine form with a six point victory over Clonea in Passage, last Wednesday week, and drew with St Patrick's in Kilgobnet on Wednesday last. Last night their great season came to an end being beaten in the semi final by Erins Own /Sacred Heart. Well done to all the panel and their mentors.
