The Tramore Community Market for July will be held at Tramore GAA Centre (X91XD99), Old Crobally Road, on Sunday, July 7, from 11am to 3pm. Featuring numerous food and craft stalls, the market occurs on the first Sunday of each month. Since starting in 2022, it has become a hub for local food producers, artisans, and creatives, offering a unique shopping experience for residents and visitors alike.
The market aims to support small businesses and independent producers, creating a warm and inclusive atmosphere. From fresh produce to artisan crafts, the Tramore Community Market caters to all tastes and budgets.
The Tramore Unit of Order of Malta would like to express deepest gratitude to Southern Ceilings for the refit of the roof tiles in their facility on Pond Road.
It shows true community spirit. We would like to also thank the team who worked on the job and a huge thanks to John Kelly who removed the old tiles and arranged everything. Also, thanks to Fr Tom Rogers, of the Waterford Unit, for completing a Cardiac First Responder - Advanced course for members of our CFR Scheme.
The local lifeboat crew were paged recently following a report of a surfer in difficulty in Tramore Bay. The lifeboat was launched on service within minutes, helmed by Ian Flynn with crew David Hough and Ronan McConnell.
Surfers were enjoying the swell and conditions in the Tramore Pier area of Tramore Bay. Following further investigation by the volunteer crew afloat and ashore, along with members of Tramore Coastguard Unit, all surfers were accounted for and found to be safe and well.
The crew were stood down by MRCC with the call being considered a false alarm with good intent. If you think someone maybe struggling or in trouble in the water, please phone 999 or 112.
Clive Smith, Tramore RNLI Operations Manager said: "I would like to thank the vigilant member of public who saw what they thought was a genuine emergency and did the right thing by calling 999 and asking for the Coastguard. It is always better to be safe than sorry in these situations."
Many thanks to the dedicated launch authorities, our crew afloat and ashore who worked together to ensure such a rapid response.

Kudos to Tramore Youth and Family Project - Foróige - for helping Tramore Tidy Towns in 'Strangers Garden'.
Their enthusiasm was contagious as they prepped the area for sunflowers they’ve been growing. Thanks to everyone involved; we can’t wait to see them bloom and brighten the space. A shout out to Tramore local authority for their excellent work this week. The bedding area at the end of Branch Road looks fabulous after a thorough cleanup and the beds on Convent Hill have also been beautifully tended to. A big thank you to Ray and his team for their fantastic efforts.
Unfortunately, vandals struck and smashed the front door of the St Vincent de Paul premises in Tramore and gained entry. If that wasn’t enough, three sofas were slashed and ripped open. The sofas were kindly donated by the people from Tramore with all the funds raised used directly to financially support families and individuals in need in the Tramore community. The SVP will not be deterred by such acts and will continue to support the people in need in Tramore.
