On a recent picturesque Sunday morning, Tramore Tidy Towns held their weekly beach clean. Volunteers, both regulars and newcomers, gathered at 10am to spruce up the shore. Their efforts left the beach and its surroundings tidier, a testament to what can be achieved in just an hour. Gratitude goes to the volunteers and the supportive Tramore Town Council. Join us for future activities by reaching out via Facebook messenger or talking to our volunteers around Tramore. Your help in making Tramore beautiful is invaluable and rewarding.
The Tramore Scout 8th group were over the moon that their group won the Waterford County Campcraft trophy for the first time at the recent county challenge. The teams hard work, dedication, and resilience, even in tough conditions, truly paid off. Well, done team.
As the Rugby season draws to a close, Tramore RFC’s U11s embarked on a journey to the Rugby campout blitz in Athy, while our U6 to U10s headed to Carrick-on-Suir for their 100th Anniversary celebration Blitz. It is a thrilling time for both players and parents, as it's when youngsters get to display their growth and development over the year and this year was no exception. Tramore rugby athletes, spanning different age groups, demonstrated their prowess against formidable opponents, illustrating their ability to compete at a high level. More importantly, we witnessed valuable lessons in camaraderie and sportsmanship, both on and off the field. As they geared up for the final training session of the season last weekend, culminating in our traditional parents/kids tag fun games, the future looks incredibly bright for Tramore rugby.

During a recent cleanup organized by the Tramore ECO Group, they stumbled upon yet another bag of dog waste, a recurring issue. There's simply no excuse for this behaviour, given the abundance of bins available along the beach. In response, Waterford Council has initiated the 'Bag It, Bin It' campaign to address the problem of dog waste. It's the civic duty of all dog owners to promptly clean up after their pets, and by collectively adhering to the 'Bag It, Bin It' approach, we can safeguard our communities, preserve wildlife, and maintain the cleanliness of our outdoor areas.
