There was no winner for this week’s lotto so it rolls over until next week with a jackpot of €1,950. The lucky numbers pulled were 7, 12, 21 and 23. Stumpy Power was the winner of match three numbers. Congratulations.

Community Text Alert

The Community Text Alert Service is still ongoing and open to any member of the public to join. Some messages that the group send out include notifications from the Gardaí, Met Eireann and others which help to keep the community informed. If you would like to join the text service, please contact Kill Action Group on 086 3772945.

Senior Alert Scheme 

Kill Action Group is a registered provider for the Senior Alert Scheme which provides a personal monitored alarm for those aged 65 and over, living alone or with another person who meets the eligibility criteria and residing within the area. The alarm can be worn as a pendant or on the wrist like a watch and when pressed a call is sent to a 24-hour monitoring centre. The equipment is free, however there is a fee for monitoring the alarm. Either a landline, mobile phone or broadband connection is required to install and connect it. To enquire about availing of the scheme please contact Marie Whelan on 087 2871307.

Community Centre

Last week, Michael Sexton entertained a fantastic crowd at Wednesday night dancing. This week, Checkers on Wednesday, June 5, will take to the stage at Kill. Mark Wednesday night dancing from 9pm to 11.30pm in your calendar. Complementary tea/coffee and sweet treat so come and join in the fun.

Last week, Peter Burke entertained a lively crowd at Kill Community Centre. He is a firm favourite with all the dancers and everyone enjoyed the great atmosphere. Next to take to the stage is Andy Feery, on June 9. Social dancing begins at 3pm and finishes at 6pm. Kill Community Centre guarantees a great afternoon of great music and refreshments. So why not put on your dancing shoes and join in the fun.

Gealach Gorm Theatre

Up next in the Gealach Gorm Theatre, the boys are back in town with their hilarious show, 'The Parish', on Saturday, July 13, at 8pm, in conjunction with The Comeragh Wilds Festival. These two masters of comedy will have you in stitches as the bring to life a range of characters that can be found in every community in the country. Kill Community Support Group, supported by Kill Community Centre, confidential telephone support line can be accessed through 087 7150608.

The mission of the Kill Community Support Group is to ensure that every member of the community has access to support if they are overwhelmed by any situation, they may find themselves in. The support line is a confidential service open to anyone in the local area.

Guitar Lessons

Beginners guitar lessons have recommenced in Kill Community Centre every Wednesday. These lessons begin at 6.30pm and small number of places are available. To book call or text Michael Murphy on 087 9050190.
