Service of Remembrance

University Hospital Waterford Maternity Service would like to invite you to a service of remembrance. All who have experienced pregnancy, infant or child loss are welcome to attend on Sunday, October 19, at 4pm in Christchurch Cathedral.

Benefit Night in aid of Waterford Hospice

There will be a benefit night held in aid of Waterford Hospice on Saturday, October 25, in the Tower Hotel. Admission €15, doors will open at 7.30pm. Benefit night from 8-12pm. Auction and raffle on the night followed by Mike Kenny’s 60s and 90s disco. Tickets on sale in Ardkeen Stores or for more information contact Frankie on 087 3734398.

An Afternoon of Elegance in aid of Waterford Hospice 

Tickets now on sale for our Afternoon of Elegance in aid of Waterford Hospice in Faithlegg House Hotel on Sunday, October 5. Enjoy the latest looks from Janelle boutique and The Lady’s Slip lingerie modelled by Prima Models. End the evening with music by Waterford band Scathach. Tickets are limited.

Bereavement 

The death sadly occurred on Thursday, September 25, of Thomas Power, Glenville, Dunmore Road, Waterford. Late of Waterford Crystal. Predeceased by his beloved wife Eileen, who also passed away on September 25, 2018, brother Andy and sister Nuala. He is survived by his loving children Olan, Stephen and David, daughters-in-law, Jean, Lois and Theresa, his grandchildren, Katie, Oscar, Sophie, Ted, Imogen and Scarlett, sisters Bridie and Kitty, and brothers Dan and John. Tom will be forever remembered by his nieces and nephews, relatives, the Kelly family, extended family, neighbours and friends. Thomas will be sadly missed by all his relatives, extended family, neighbours and friends. Requiem Mass took place on Tuesday, September 30, at 10.30am on arrival in St Joseph and St Benildus Church, Newtown, Waterford, followed by private cremation at the Island Crematorium. Condolences are extended to Thomas’ family, relatives and friends. May he rest in peace.

Bereavement 

The death sadly occurred on Wednesday, September 17, in France of James (Jim) Sheridan, Orwell Road, Rathgar and late of Newtown, Waterford. He is survived by his loving wife Mary, adored children Lisa, Kieran, Ruth and Grace and his six beloved grandchildren Sadbh, Callum, Dara, Leon, James and Evelyn, sons-in-law Brian and John, daughter-in-law Sarah, brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

James will be sadly missed by all his relatives, extended family and friends. Funeral Mass took place on Saturday, September 27, at 11am in the Church of Ss. Columbanus and Gall, Milltown, followed by burial at Kilternan Cemetery. Condolences are extended to James’ family, relatives and friends. May he rest in peace.
