The death sadly occurred on Thursday, July 11, of Mr. Patrick (Paddy) Fahy, Viewmount Park, Dunmore Road, Waterford, formerly of Mallow, Co. Cork.
Pre-deceased by his loving parents and his sister Mary, he is survived by his loving, devoted wife Margaret, children, Onara, John, Jannet and Pat, his sisters Anne and Kathleen, brothers-in-law Terry and Charlie, sister-in-law Gabrielle, sons-in-law Eddie and Niall, daughters-in-law Shauna and Lorraine, his 10 adored grandchildren, extended family, neighbours and friends. Patrick will be sadly missed by all his family, relatives, neighbours and friends. Requiem Mass took place in St. Joseph and Benildus’ Church, Newtown, on Sunday, July 14, at 1.30pm with burial afterwards in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ballygunner. Condolences are extended to Patrick's family, relatives and friends. May he rest in peace.
The death sadly occurred on Sunday, July 14, of Mr Conor Dwyer, Riverview, Knockboy, Waterford. Formerly of Allied Irish Bank and late of Stradavoher, Thurles, Co Tipperary. Predeceased by his loving parents Biddy and Bill, his sister Joan, his brothers Jack and Bill, he is survived by his loving wife Eileen, son Colum, daughters Brid, Catherine, Deirdre, his 11 grandchildren Kieran, Aoife, Conor, Ronan, Torin, Cian, Innys, Dirren, Ada, Dorothy and Kitty, son-in-law Ben, daughter-in-law Claire, brothers, sister, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends. Conor will be sadly missed by all his family, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Requiem Mass took place on Thursday, July 18, at 12 noon in St. Mary’s Church, Ballygunner followed by a private cremation on a later day. Condolences are extended to Conor's family, relatives and friends. May he rest in peace.

Predeceased by her loving husband John, son Frank, parents Frank and Kathleen, brothers Billy, Frankie, Micheál and Pat, sister Marian, she is survived by her loving sons John and David, daughter Sandra (Burfield), daughters-in-law Maureen, Patricia and Adrienne, son-in-law Jim, grandchildren Ciara, Stephen, Darragh, James and Luke, brothers Tom and Dick, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.
Catherine will be sadly missed by all her relatives, extended family, neighbours and friends. Requiem Mass took place on Saturday, July 20, in St. Mary's Church, Ballygunner at 11am, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. Condolences are extended to Catherine's family, relatives and friends. May she rest in peace.
If you are living on the Williamstown or Dunmore Road areas we have a mixed gender art group for those aged between 16 and 18 years.

The Farronshoneen Project Centre Games Room can be booked for one hour times slots in July and August for groups of up to six young people.
The room is available for activities such as pool, air hockey and Playstation etc. If any of our young people are interested in booking in throughout the summer, please contact Catriona on 083 0106257.
Waterford Libraries is delighted to again bring a series of free Writing Workshops to the people of Waterford this year. The programme will run from August to mid-December and will give participants an opportunity to attend courses in both English and Irish.
The courses are free of charge and open to people over 18 years of age resident anywhere in County Waterford. Application forms are available at library desks and the closing date for applications for all workshops is Friday, August 2.
A Growing Microgreens at Home workshop will take place in Central Library on Friday, July 26, from 10.30am to 12.30pm.
Learn the basics of growing tasty microgreens in your own home, perfect for a sunny windowsill or any well-lit spot. The facilitator will be Aileen Drohan, Walton Institute (SETU). Book your free space by calling 051 849975.
Grow your own food with free spinach, French beans and pea seeds. Waterford Libraries are teaming up with GIY again to encourage people to grow their own food and the free seeds will be available in 25 libraries across the South East. See libraryleaf.ie for more details. The Leaf Programme is about empowering communities to grow their own food as a vital climate action.
Board Game Saturdays take place at Central Library, Waterford. Drop in for some family time playing board games every Saturday morning, from 10am to 12pm. All welcome and children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
Board games also take place in Ardkeen Library and include chess, scrabble, Connect Four and many more. The games sessions will continue until August 31, from 10.30am to 12.30pm. All are welcome to the free event.
We are currently planning activities for the autumn in the Parish and would love to receive your ideas. There is a suggestion box at the back of both Benildus and Ballygunner Churches. Please let us know what courses/classes/events you would like to see happening.
Please join us on Thursday, July 25, at 7pm in St Joseph's & St Benildus Parish Centre, Newtown, to hear from Lesley O'Connor who has recently returned from three months in Israel and the West Bank. She will share her experiences with us. Refreshments will be served after the talk and all are very welcome.
A Parish Summer Party will take place on Friday, July 26, at 7pm in the car park or Parish Hall (if raining) of St. Benildus Church, Newtown.
There will be a barbecue, music and lots of fun. The party is free of charge, however, donations will be collected on the evening for the parish Summer trip to Wicklow. All our faith community are encouraged to come along and it will be a family-friendly event. Please book your place with the parish office by Tuesday, July 23 for catering numbers.

The next contemplative 'Walk in Nature' summer series event will take us on a loop from Woodstown to Forenaught Beach. Join us to explore another hidden gem in our beautiful county. A 90-minute moderate walk, starting at the Saratoga Car Park. Comfortable walking shoes and water is advised and all are welcome to attend.
A Baby and Me Group meets on Wednesdays from 10.30am to 12pm in Ardkeen Library. Children under 12 years must be accompanied and supervised in the library by a parent or guardian.

There is also a Draughts Club for adults in the library on Thursdays at 10.30am. All are welcome to participate.
