Local Notes: Dance classes, tickets for 'Da', Christmas fun and more
Social Club Committee members welcoming Eileen Condon to this years Christmas Party in Ballymacarbry.
Have you heard the news? We are delighted to announce that Ballymacarbry will once again play host to the extraordinarily talented Brideview Drama group from Tallow, in the coming weeks. This year the group will present their production of the hugely popular play ‘Da’ by Hugh Leonard. ‘Da’, which is described as ‘an hilarious comedy’, will be coming to Ballymacarbry on Friday, January 30th. Following on from last year's extremely successful production of ‘The Weir’, we look forward to another packed house on the night. Tickets for this event are great value at €15 and are now available from the community centre (086 0328467), the school, and the local tidy towns committee. These tickets are the perfect Christmas present so get your hands on them soon before they sell out.
We had a fantastic day in the centre with Santa for our annual family fun day.

The kids burned off plenty of steam in the bouncy castles while enjoying the tasty treats on offer.

The visit of Santa caused great excitement and we really appreciate the time that he gave each and every child who came his way for the chat. Happy Christmas to all who supported this event.

We sincerely hope that everyone enjoys the Christmas break and we wish all a very happy and peaceful Christmas.
The centre will be quiet during the holiday but as always will be available for last minute bookings if the need arises.
Contact any member of the committee to make an enquiry. We look forward to another extremely busy year in the centre next year and we thank the entire community for the unending support.
The community centre was delighted to be the venue for the annual Social Club Christmas Party again this year.

As everyone knows this social group offers a fantastic weekly outlet for those over 55 years of age in Ballymacarbry and the surrounding areas.

The Christmas Party is one of the highlights of the year and the group's committee put a huge effort into making the occasion a very special event each year.
This year, the club was delighted to welcome Eileen Condon as a special guest to sign her wonderful book, ‘Eileen’s Country Kitchen’. Eileen provided catering to the social club for many years and all present were delighted to welcome her back and to wish her well in her retirement.
