The death sadly occurred on Saturday, April 19, of Mr. Gerry (Ringo) O’Regan, late of Dunmore East, Co. Waterford. He is survived by his loving children Gillian, Tony, Stevie and Robbie, his adoring grandchildren Harry, Joe, Alice and Grace, his daughter-in-law and his son-in-law. Gerry will be greatly missed by all his relatives, extended family, wonderful neighbours and wide circle of friends. Requiem Mass took place on Thursday, April 24, at 11.30am in The Church of the Holy Cross, Dunmore East, Co. Waterford. As per Gerry’s wishes a private cremation service took place later. Condolences are extended to Gerry's family, relatives and friends May he rest in peace.
The death sadly occurred on Saturday, April 12, of Mr. Leo Murphy, late of Knockboy, Co. Waterford. A devoted husband, dad, brother and uncle he is survived by his loving wife Linda, son, David and daughter Gina, and was the greatest brother and uncle to the extended Murphy and Walsh families. He captured thousands of the happiest moments of people in Waterford, but he was definitely happiest when surrounded by his family, friends, and his framing. “So, raise a glass, look at photos you may have in your homes and businesses, and remember Leo as the kind, caring gentleman". Leo will be sadly missed by all his relatives, extended family neighbours and friends. Requiem Mass took place on Sunday, April 27, in St Mary’s Church, Ballygunner, Waterford, at 3pm, followed by private family cremation. Condolences are extended to Leo's family, relatives and friends. May he rest in peace.
The ‘Waterford Wheels’ cycling challenge is having a launch event. Join us for an opening cycle commute on May 12, meeting at the Greenway Park & Cycle car park at Carriganore, in Waterford City (next to SETU Arena car park) at 8am. We will cycle the greenway, getting into the city for approximately 8.45am and then enjoy complementary hot drinks and snacks. 'Waterford Wheels' will take place as part of Bike Week which will run from May 10 to 18. All you have to do is see how many cycle commutes you can make during the dates above The organisations that log the highest numbers of cycling trips will come out on top, It is open to staff and students of workplaces/learning institutions across Waterford. The Big Sing Waterford in aid of Assisi House will take place in the Sacred Heart Church, The Folly, on Friday, May 16, at 8pm. There will be a guest MC and soloist, Glenn Murphy, in addition to the combined Choirs of Waterford. It will be a non-ticketed concert, however, there will be a retiring collection on the night.
