Local Notes: Christmas fair, bingo night, activities at the centre and much more
The Nire Valley Christmas Fair will take place in the Nire Hall on December 7, from 2pm to 5pm
Get to the centre this Friday for the latest instalment of Ballymac Bingo. The proceeds of this months bingo will be donated to our local over 55’s Social Club who offer a fantastic outlet for the community each Thursday afternoon in the community centre, offering lunch, a chat and plenty of fun for all those in attendance. We are delighted to be supporting such a wonderful group so please come along and bring friends! First call by Thomas at 8pm as usual. Spread the word.
Our FMW U20 hurling team have reached the U20 A Western final which takes place this Saturday, November 22, at 3pm in Fraher Field. The opposition is Brickey Rangers. Please come along and support this great team in their efforts to win a major title.
The above event will take place in the Nire Hall on December 7, from 2pm to 5pm. This annual event is not to be missed. Head along and get some beautiful Christmas gifts on the day. Santa will be arriving at 4pm so make sure to be there.
The Newcastle Naionra Auction and Sale of Work takes place in Newcastle Community Hall on Sunday, November 23 from 2pm. All proceeds go to the Naionra pre-school so please head along and support in any way you can.
Spinning classes continue to run every Tuesday and Thursday from 7pm to 8pm. These hugely popular classes have been a huge hit in recent years and are a great way to get fit, have fun and keep your energy levels high. It has been great to see such huge numbers attending Pilates classes. They take place each Monday evening. If you want to get involved contact Sally on 086 6664414 to book your spot.
Continue to get your fitness kick in the centre through the fitness classes with Stephanie Byrne every week. Badminton is back on Tuesday evenings also.
