Sympathies

Deepest sympathy to the Flynn family on the death of their mother Barbara Flynn (nee: O’Brien), Oak Terrace, Lisduggan, who died on Tuesday, April 16, peacefully in the Oak ward UHW surrounded by her loving family.

Barbara lay in repose at her home on Thursday, April 18. Her remains were removed from her residence on Friday, April 19, and the funeral cortege walked to St Paul's Church, Lisduggan, for Requiem Mass followed by cremation in the Island Crematorium, Ringaskiddy, Co Cork. Barbara was a lovely person who fought her illness with dignity and courage. She always looked forward and had a pleasant word for everyone. She was a great mother, grandmother and sister. She will be sadly missed by all who had the pleasure to know her. Predeceased by her husband Noel, her infant sons Steven and Shane, and by her parents Jim and Josephine, she is survived by her heartbroken family Joanne, Noel, Billy, Amy, Kate and Holly, her 13 grandchildren, sons-in-law daughters-in-law brothers, sisters sisters-in-law brothers-in-law nieces nephews extended family her many friends and neighbours. Mary her gentle soul rest in peace.
