A big thank you to everybody for supporting our quiz night in The Clodagh Lounge. This was our last fundraiser for the U15 and U18 hurlers' trip to New York. A special thank you to Edel, Shane and all at The Clodagh Bar for hosting us. A big thank you also to our quizmaster, the one and only Johnny Rockett, for setting up the quiz and to Davy David McNamara for another brilliant job as MC. To all those who sponsored prizes for the raffle and bought tickets. Also huge appreciation to our organising committee for the New York trip for running another successful event. This trip wouldn't be possible without them. Finally, well done to the winners of the quiz, Derek Delaney , Vic J Bowers, Freddy Kelly and David Walsh and their generosity in donating their winnings back into the pot.

Our fantastic U12 camogie team took to the field recently to kick off the first camogie game of the 2026 season. The girls had an amazing win against St. Annes in sunny but blustery conditions. The happy heads on these girls is what it’s all about.

Portlaw Camogie Club's intermediate camogie team had their first win of the season recently in Round 1 of the Division 2 League. Portlaw 3-20 vs Butlerstown 1-6. It was a lovely evening for the game as the rain held off.

The girls had a great battle and displayed some lovely passages of play. Well done girls.
Portlaw Camogie Club is delighted to have Aisling Farrell visit on Friday, April 24th, to speak with a number of the teams about female athletes' health, nutrition, and confidence. She has delivered this presentation to a number of groups to date, all of whom have found it highly beneficial and practical. She really enjoys sharing her knowledge in this area to help ensure that local girls and women have the information they need to feel and perform at their best, both on and off the pitch, The talk times are as follows: Friday, April 24 - upstairs in the clubhouse U14 and U16 with parents from 6.15pm to 7.30pm; Minor and Intermediate/Juniors from at 7.45pm - 9pm.
Youth A League Result: Piltown 0-3 Portlaw. Another good performance and well deserved win when we travelled to Piltown. We started on the front foot and created plenty of chances before midway through the 1st half some good work from Peter on the right set up Theo for the opening goal.

Within a minute we were two up with great play from Kevin and Deevy set up Alfie. In the second half and we continued to make chances and the third arrived when keeper Luke Ronayne arrowed a ball to Deevy who finished neatly past the advancing keeper to seal the win. Good overall team performance with our defence ensuring the 1st clean sheet of the season.
