Actress Jamie Lynn Spears, the younger sister of pop superstar Britney Spears, has praised the welcome she received from Irish people on a family holiday.
The actress and singer, best known for starring in teen sitcom Zoey 101, was on holiday here with her two daughters, Maddie and Ivey.
Spears' daughters previously shared photos and videos from Limerick. Maddie also shared images of the Vacuum Clinic on Henry Street, her sister Ivey enjoying an ice cream at Gino’s Gelato, and the riverside artwork, It Will Rise With The Moon.
Spears said "what makes it so special is the people" in a post about her trip to Ireland. She also referenced Sweet Magnolias, the Netflix show she stars in, and its popularity in Ireland, comparing the country to the fictional town Serenity.

“I was fortunate enough to visit Ireland, and it has some of the most breathtaking scenery you could ever imagine, but what makes it soooo special is the PEOPLE.
“We felt so welcomed by each every person we met from the hotel staff, to the local shops and more. So, one night I get in bed and turn on @Netflix and #SWEETMAGNOLIAS is #2 in IRELAND, which was crazy to see how much it connects to people from all parts of the world.
“I think it meant even more to see the people in Ireland loved it, be their community is so warm and welcoming to all who come, and that's what I believe Serenity is all about as well. I have soooo many more pics to share, but just wanted to express how much we enjoyed our time, but more then that how much we enjoyed each and every person we got to meet!”
In 2023, Spears appeared on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here, but left the reality show early on medical grounds.
Jamie Lynn was very close to her sister during Britney's rise to stardom, but they have been estranged in recent years.
