Waterford school showcases creative excellence for a good cause

Students and staff in a County Waterford secondary school showcased their creative talent in an exemplary way recently and all for a good cause.
The Student Council in Ardscoil Na Mara secondary school in Tramore, Co Waterford, recently hosted an unforgettable 'Ardscoil's Got Talent' show in aid of the charity Barretstown.
A spokesperson for the school said the event was "truly was a night to remember".

"The students took to the stage and performed their hearts out, showcasing an incredible range of talents," said the spokesperson.
The range of creative talent showcased everything from music and dance, to drama and more.
"Their dedication, courage, and passion shone through in every act," said the spokesperson.
"Thanks to these amazing performances, the audience had a fantastic time and created an atmosphere full of energy, excitement, and support," she added.

The spokesperson also pointed out it was a great occasion for the entire school community and for a very worthy cause.
"It was wonderful to see the school community come together for such a meaningful cause," she said.

On the night, they raised over €4,000 through ticket sales, the Tuck Shop, and the raffle, along with the parents' association contribution.
"This achievement would not have been possible without the generosity and enthusiasm of everyone involved," said the spokesperson.

The school gave a special mention to Transition Year student, Theo Fitzgerald, who is a member of the Student Council.
"Theo had proposed his idea and thanks to his enthusiasm, hard work and expertise, the night was a great success," said the spokesperson.
