The death has sadly occurred on Tuesday, April 7, of Mrs Mai Egan, nee Fanning, late of St. John’s Park, Waterford and St Joseph’s Home, Ferrybank.
Formerly of the Bucket Factory and FÁS Predeceased by her loving husband Tony (Foxy), son Derek, brothers John and Pat, sisters Rita, Breda and Kathleen.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Colette. grandchildren Amy, Holly and Adam, great-grandchildren Isla and Noah, son-in-law Ger, sisters Paula and Gretta, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends.
Mai will be sadly missed by all her relatives, extended family, neighbours and friends.
Requiem Mass took place on Saturday, April 11, at 11am, followed by burial in St Otteran’s Cemetery, Ballinaneeshagh, Cork Road, Waterford.
Condolences are extended to Mai’s family, relatives and friends.
May she rest in peace.
The Society of St Vincent de Paul (SVP) is recruiting volunteers in Waterford to support its home visitation work – offering much-needed support, a listening ear, and practical help to people facing difficult times.
Through SVP’s local conferences, volunteers meet individuals and families in their homes, help them explore options, offer practical support, and signpost them to additional services.
A typical commitment is just a couple of hours a week, with Induction Training, Garda Vetting & guidance from experienced members.

Waterford Male Voice Choirâ¯will celebrateâ¯itsâ¯25th Anniversaryâ¯by hosting anâ¯Anniversary Charity Concertâ¯in aid of theâ¯Little Sisters of the Poor, Waterfordâ¯, onâ¯Friday, May 15â¯, in theâ¯SETU Chapel, College Street, Waterford,â¯commencingâ¯at 7.30pm.
Guest performers on the night will be theâ¯Barrack Street Concert Bandâ¯andâ¯De La Salle Senior Choirâ¯, together with soloistâ¯Stephanie Ní Fhoghlú.
Tickets cost €20 can be purchased from choir members and the Little Sisters of the Poor and include Anniversary Prize Draw entry.

100% of the proceedsâ¯will go directly to the charity.
A Memorial Concert in the memory of Carmel Nairn will be held in Christ Church Cathedral on Saturday, May 16, starting at 7pm, in aid ofâ¯two Waterford charities that were close to Carmel's Heart, The Waterford and South Kilkenny Branch of Down Syndrome Ireland and the Waterford Viking Branch of the Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind.
There will be 11 acts in total performing, comprising of choirs, soloists , Brass Band, to name but a few.
Tickets cost €20 and are available on Eventbrite and from the Cathedral shop, or from any committee member.
