Teenager injured after assault in Cork city

A teenager has been taken to hospital for medical treatment following an assault in Cork city on Sunday night.
Gardaí and emergency services were called to the scene of an incident in Blackpool shortly after 9.15pm on Sunday.
A spokesperson for An Garda Síochána said: "Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of a serious assault in Blackpool, Cork City, on Sunday 12th July 2026 shortly after 9:15pm.
"A male youth was removed from the scene to Cork University Hospital for treatment of injuries believed to be non-life-threatening at the time.
"Investigations are ongoing."
