Waterford County Darts Shine at Munster Championships 2026 with Ladies final victory

The Waterford Ladies Darts Team that recorded Munster Championship success last month in Clare.

Waterford County Darts enjoyed a hugely successful weekend at the 2026 Munster Darts Championships, hosted by Clare in Treacy’s West County Hotel, Ennis, at the end of month.

In the ladies’ singles competition, Waterford players really impressed. Jade Lonergan claimed the Ladies Singles title with a superb 4–2 victory over Scotland’s Karen Laurie in the final. Beth Gardner and Jennie Doyle both reached the semi-finals, continuing Waterford’s strong tradition in the women’s game.

The standout story of the weekend came from the Waterford Ladies Team. They defeated Tipperary B and Clare A before producing a remarkable comeback from 3–1 down against Cork A to win 4–3 in the semi-final. In the final, Waterford overcame Kerry with a dominant 4–1 victory to claim the Munster title on their debut- it really is an outstanding achievement.

All roads now lead to Killarney for The All-Irelands, where the Munster Champions will be a huge treat to all teams entering, and will be full of confidence ahead of the Ladies Team event, which will take place Saturday, February 28 and Sunday, March 1.
