Kilbarry Gymnastics Academy (KGA) ended a very successful final term of training with the club’s annual in-house competition which saw 170 young gymnasts (both girls and boys) compete on all apparatus in front of a delighted audience of over 300 family and friends.

With so many talented gymnasts keen to show off their skills on Floor, Beam, Bars and Vault, Rings and Parallel Bars the competition ran over five sessions with a lot of different levels. Throughout the day gymnasts from under 5s to over 10s, intermediate, advanced, mini advanced, first ever boy’s competition and development squad showcased their skills.

The gymnasts, who ranged in age from four to 14, were delighted to show off their skills to an appreciative audience of family and friends, each doing a routine on all apparatus showing their families and friends the hard work they had been putting in and their progression during the year over three terms of Artistic Gymnastics.

Club Director and Head Coach Maddie Croke said: “We had a fantastic day of gymnastics. This marked a very successful end to three terms of training. It is great for all our gymnasts to show their families all their new skills and competition routines and how they have been growing in confidence over the last year. I would like to extend a huge thank you to all our coaches and volunteers who gave their time to run this fundraising event.” All gymnasts received a participation medal for their amazing efforts and the top three in each category were awarded gold, silver and bronze medals.

Maddie and her team will run summer camps during July and August, each camp is four fun filled days of gymnastics, games, learning new skills and making friends you can find out more on KGA’s Facebook and Instagram pages
