Five members of Waterford Muay Thai set for Abu Dhabi

Leigha Kinsella from Waterford Muay Thai has officially been selected to represent Team Ireland at the IFMA Junior World Championship this September in Abu Dhabi. At just 15, Leigha already has a wealth of experience. Last year, she fought at the IFMA Youth World Championships in Bangkok, and earlier this year, she secured a bronze medal at the IFMA Antalya Open after a strong quarterfinals win and a brave battle against the reigning World Champion. Leigha continues to prove herself on the international stage, and we couldn’t be prouder to see her wear the green jersey once again in Abu Dhabi.
Casey Farrell of Waterford Muay Thai has been selected for Team Ireland and will represent her country at the IFMA Youth World Championship this September in Abu Dhabi. At only 15, Casey is moving fast through the ranks. She made her mark earlier this year at the IFMA Antalya Open, where she stopped her semifinal opponent in the first round—an athlete who had already stopped two others on her way to the semis. Casey went on to claim a gold medal in her biggest competition to date. Now, she’s ready to step up once again, flying the flag for Ireland on the world stage in Abu Dhabi.
Eve Hearne, age 16 has been training with Waterford Muaythai for over 3 years, showing incredible dedication, discipline, and passion for the sport. In that time, she’s achieved so much already—most recently bringing home silver at the Estonia Open Now, we’re proud to share that Evie has been selected to represent Team Ireland at the IFMA Youth World Championships in Abu Dhabi this September. Her hard work and commitment inspire everyone in the gym, and we can’t wait to see her shine on the world stage. Let’s cheer her on every step of the way.
AJ Kiely trains at Waterford Muaythai, where he’s been working hard, showing incredible dedication and talent in every session. Achievements so far: 2x Irish Sandee Open Champion (2023 & 2024), Gold Medallist at the Estonia Open (March 2025), Unbeaten in his weight category with 13 fights. Now, AJ has been selected for Team Ireland and will represent his country at the IFMA Junior World Championships in Abu Dhabi this September. We’re so proud of everything he has achieved already — and this is just the beginning.
At just 12 years old, Shay Moore has been training with Waterford Muaythai since the age of 6. His dedication, discipline, and love for the sport have already brought him an incredible list of achievements. Numerous national fights across Ireland constantly improving through hard work and consistency. Gold medallist at the prestigious Estonia Open Now, Shay takes on his biggest challenge yet—representing Team Ireland at the IFMA Youth World Championships this September in Abu Dhabi. We couldn’t be prouder of Shay and everything he’s achieved so far—this is just the beginning of an amazing journey. Let’s show him some support as he steps onto the world stage
