Three FAI Cup quarter-finals took place on Friday evening.

Shamrock Rovers and Drogheda United ended 1-1 after full-time.

The Hoops got on the scoresheet in the first half thanks to Graham Burke.

Andrew Quinn scored deep in stoppage time to get a draw and send the game to extra time.

Shamrock Rovers ended up winning 5-4 on penalties.

Meanwhile, Evan McLaughlin needed just 72 seconds to give Cork City the lead at Finn Harps.

They ended up winning 3-0 thanks to a 10th minute goal from Sean Maguire and another goal from McLaughlin in the 74th minute.

Sligo Rovers and Kerry also went to extra time after it ended 3-3 after 90 minutes.

Owen Elding got a hat-trick, scoring two goals in quick succession in the 15th and 16th minute to put Rovers 2-0 ahead, then giving them a 3-0 lead early in the second half.

Cian Brosnan and Joe Adams pulled two goals back for Kerry in the 66th and 77th minutes respectively.

Then, Brosnan got another for Kerry in 90+2, sending the game to extra time.

Daniel Okwuy Okwute scored in the 117th minute of extra time to secure the win for Kerry.
