Jim Power Under 14 Football tournament is launched

The long-running Jim Power U14 Football Tournament was officially launched on Tuesday, July 29, in Lawlor’s Hotel, Dungarvan, with special guests the Power family, Waterford GAA county board, and Bord na nÓg officials, players, and team management in attendance.

The annual tournament sees the cream of Ireland's young Gaelic footballers compete against each other, and some top-class action is once again guaranteed for 2025.

The competition will see teams from Clare, Cork, Limerick, Tipperary, and Waterford taking part to see who will be crowned Jim Power Cup champions for 2025. There will also be finals in the Jim Power Plate, Shield, and Bowl.

The tournament will take place in Kilrossanty GAA Club (Cup/Shield) and Dungarvan GAA Club (Plate/Bowl) on Saturday, August 16th, and was launched officially with some lovely words from Theresa Power on behalf of the Power family.

The launch also heard from County Board Chairman Neil Moore, County Bord na nÓg Chairman Michael Flanagan, and County Head of Games Development, Eoin Breathnach.
