People inside property during petrol bomb attack in Belfast

A number of people were inside a property when it was targeted in a petrol bomb attack in Belfast.
Police are investigating the incident at residential premises at the Hatfield Street area of the city in the early hours of Saturday.
A spokesperson said: “Shortly before 00:50am, it was reported to police that two masked men approached a property.
“It was reported that one of the men threw a petrol bomb at the front of the house, which ignited and caused damage to a window.
“The second man threw another object at the property, but it did not ignite.
“The men made off towards the Balfour Avenue area and the fire was extinguished by colleagues from the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service.
“A number of people were inside the property at the time of the incident, but there were no reports of any injuries.”
Inquiries into the incident are continuing.
