Waterford Court House
A woman has appeared in court in relation to a large number of vehicle break-ins from May of last year. Approximately 15 vehicles were broken into in the Ballygunner, Grantstown and Williamstown areas.
Kelcy Stokes, of Riverview House, 3 North Mall, Cork, was charged with multiple counts of the unauthorised interference with the mechanism of a vehicle. She was also charged with taking a vehicle, and with theft, for stealing wallets from the vehicles.
There are a number of co-accused and Ms. Stokes, who had just turned 18 at the time of the offences, insists she was a follower and not an instigator. She will be back in court on May 19.
