The accused appeared in camera at Waterford District Court.

A woman allegedly stabbed her partner in the shoulder with a kitchen knife, a court in Waterford has heard.

The woman appeared at Waterford District Court for an in camera hearing before Judge Kevin Staunton.

Sergeant Michael Hickey stated that Gardaí attended to a disturbance in Waterford City last July. Gardaí discovered the injured party and understood that he had been stabbed "in front of their children". A kitchen knife was recovered from the scene. The Court heard that the injured party had since made a "full recovery".

Solicitor Ken Cunningham requested a summary disposal "without equivocation". The matter was put back to a hearing in December.
