Keltech has achieved Gold Standard at Deloitte Ireland’s Best Managed Companies Awards 2024.
Keltech, who demonstrated "superior business performance", were part of an elite group of companies to be awarded gold recognition, for completing four years as a Best Managed company, at the gala awards held on Thursday, September 19, at the RDS Arena, Dublin.
Commenting on the award, Seamus Lawlor, Director Of Business Development, said: “I am delighted to accept this award on behalf of Keltech. It’s fantastic to gain national recognition for all of the hard work it takes to successfully operate a business like ours.”
The programme recognises private businesses right across Ireland and an exceptional performance that sets them apart.
The Best Managed Companies Awards is run by Deloitte in association with Allied Irish Bank (AIB). The awards recognise companies that operate with a robust business model, putting strategies into action that reflect their internal strengths, capabilities and opportunities in the market. A Best Managed Company has a keen and clear focus, makes sound strategic decisions, works hard to keep its customers happy and strives to deliver best-in-class service and products.
"The Best Managed Companies Awards recognises Keltech as a company that has a formal and defined strategy in place – one which considers all stakeholders, and which is consistently clearly communicated at all levels of the business. In other words, everyone understands the business journey and embraces the goals," said Mr Lawlor.
Mr Lawlor explained to the Waterford News & Star that in the past year, Keltech delivered 28,800 hours of training and development.
"Unique education initiatives, such as Keltech’s Welding Academy, CNC Traineeships, Train the Trainer and so on have all been carefully designed to meet industry needs, whilst also providing employees with the necessary skills to challenge, prosper and enjoy their roles," he added.
"The atmosphere and energy in Keltech is electric. Breakfast mornings, BBQs, badly needed ice-cream breaks during the hot spell and a few nights out to boot all enhance the company's excellent culture."
Keltech also prides itself on being driven by data "to make fast, evidence-based decisions", innovation, corporate governance, inclusivity and diversity.
"Diversity and inclusion is part of Keltech’s serious commitment to supporting people. Keltech has always been a progressive company that has implemented many ‘firsts’ in their sector. In the past 24 months, Keltech has significantly increased its female headcount to account for almost 30 of its workforce," Mr Lawlor continued.
"Deloitte Best Managed Companies are those with which customers can be confident to do business. Companies that have taken organisational excellence to the next level and have the metrics and capabilities to prove it. Keltech celebrates being counted among them.
"We would like to thank every customer, every supplier and every Keltech employee who has helped us achieve this national recognition,” Mr Lawlor concluded.
