Waterford to gather to remember the victims of Birchwood fire
Kim and Philip English and their sons Callum and Jayden who tragically perished in a fire at their home in Birchwood, Waterford city.
The people of Waterford will come together this evening to remember and pray for a family whose lives were tragically cut short in the devastating house fire at Birchwood.
A prayer vigil will take place at Sacred Heart Church, The Folly, at 5pm in memory of Philip English, his wife Kim, and their two beloved sons, Callum and Jayden.
The vigil is being held as the city mourns the heartbreaking loss of a family whose deaths have deeply touched people throughout Waterford and beyond. Friends, neighbours and members of the wider community are being invited to gather in prayer and solidarity, offering support to all those who are struggling to come to terms with the tragedy.
The vigil will provide an opportunity for people to stand together in remembrance of Philip, Kim, Callum and Jayden, while keeping their other two siblings, who are in a critical condition in CHI (Crumlin) and loved ones in their thoughts during an unimaginably difficult time.
All are welcome to attend the gathering, where prayers will be offered for those who have died, for those who mourn them, and for everyone affected by the tragedy.
In an invitation to the vigil, organisers hope that the community's prayers and presence would bring some measure of comfort and strength to the grieving family.
As Waterford continues to grieve, the vigil will offer a chance for people to come together, share in the community's sorrow, and honour the memory of Philip, Kim, Callum and Jayden.
