A TD in Waterford is to have his meetings, clinics and appointments rearranged as his daughter undergoes serious surgery this week in Dublin.
Sinn Féin TD, Deputy Conor McGuinness's eldest daughter, Réailtín is heading to Crumlin Hospital today, Monday, August 11, to undergo what he described as "very serious surgery" during the week.
In an online post on his social media pages Deputy McGuinness said his daughter has "a long and tough road ahead".
"Pia and I would be grateful if you could keep her in your thoughts and prayers over the next few days," said Deputy McGuinness.
The Sinn Féin TD will be spending his time this week in Dublin with his daughter.
"I won’t be checking messages and emails very often," he said.
Various clinics, meeting and appointments will also need to be re-arranged and Deputy McGuinness said his team will be in touch with constituents in due course.
Meanwhile, he confirmed to Waterford News & Star that his office in Dungarvan will remain open from Monday to Friday and members of the public can contact his team there on 058 61640.
