Students from St Declan's Community College, in Kilmacthomas, Co Waterford, travelled to Dublin recently for a visit to the Dáil.
The representatives of the school's Student Council, along with Ms Carroll and some Transition Year students, visited the seat of Irish Government on Monday, January 20.

They participated in a workshop, explaining how the Dáil works, and received a guided tour of the Dáil building. A spokesperson for the school told Waterford News & Star: "They got to see the Dáil chambers and even managed an impromptu questions and answers session with Minister John Cummins, who kindly took time out to meet with us."

"Who knows, this may have inspired some of our students to consider politics as a future career, watch this space," he added.
