The Waterford senior hurlers will take on Kilkenny in a charity match in aid of Waterford Hospice on Saturday December 12.
In what will be new manager Stephen Molumphy’s first game in charge, the game will also be a chance for supporters to see new players line out for Waterford following open trials which will be held in weeks prior.
The game will also be Henry Shefflin’s first game in charge of Kilkenny, as the former Hurler of the Year officially takes over from ex teammate Derek Lyng.
Throw-in on the day is at 1pm and the game is fixed for Azzurri Walsh Park, and tickets are available to buy online now.
Speaking on the announcement of the game, Molumphy said: “Waterford Hospice is an incredibly important service and gives so much to the community. We want to show the new players that we have in our panel and it’s an opportunity for supporters to see our current development. I hope to see you all there.”
