There was great delight in St Declan's Community College in Kilmacthomas recently when some of the school's students competed in the Interschools Showjumping Competition in Shanakill.

Inish Power, Fionn O'Donnell, Aoibhinn Sullivan and Clodagh Dunne competed in the event earlier this month.

The students finished in second place in the team event, which was a great result and one of great pride for the school.

A school spokesperson also complimented Clodagh Dunne, who came 5th in the 80cm Individual event and also Inish Power, who jumped clear in the 90cm Individual event.

Everyone in the school is delighted with the students' success and wish them well in future competitions.
