St Saviours National School was unable to reopen as planned due to a “catastrophic leak”.

The Waterford News and Star understands that the electrical system and fire alarms were damaged, and that a full safety check will have to be carried out before the school can open.

The school hope to reopen on Monday, August 31, but parents will be updated through the Aladdin system.
