RNLI volunteers from six lifeboat stations around the Hook Peninsula in County Wexford, including two stations from County Waterford, gathered recently for a special photocall at Hook Lighthouse.
Launching authority Brian Kavanagh and helmsman Tom McConnell, were the chosen representatives from Tramore Lifeboat RNLI.
Along with their colleagues from Dunmore East RNLI station, they joined their Model County counterparts from RNLI stations in Fethard-on-Sea, Wexford town, Kilmore Quay and Rosslare Harbour RNLI.
The event was organised to mark the 'One Moment One Crew' campaign in acknowledgement of the RNLI's 200th anniversary. It was very fitting that the photocall took place under the shadow of Hook Lighthouse, the oldest intact and fully operational lighthouse in the world. The event was also filmed and will feature on an upcoming episode of RTÉ's, Nationwide programme which will celebrate the RNLI on its centenary.
Members of the Tramore Lifeboat RNLI also gathered recently at Tramore Pier to mark the 200th anniversary.
