Waterford punter scoops almost €25,000 on Euromillions wager
Versus Bet has opened a state-of-the-art new betting shop in Waterford City
There was good news for one lucky Waterford punter last week when they scooped €23,900 on a Euromillions wager.
The lucky Versus Bet customer placed a €2 Super Yankee on Tuesday's Euromillions draw, in bookmakers' new shop on Michael Street, in Waterford City, staking a total of €52 on their selection.
The customer selected the numbers 6,7,9,14 and 19 and 6,9,14,31 and 41. Their luck was in as the 6,7,9 and 14 balls rolled out in the main Euromillions draw, with their canny selections netting them separate wins of €22,600 and €1,300.
A Super Yankee, also known as a Canadian, consists of 26 bets based on five selections, with a stake on every possible combined outcome. It contains one fifefold, two fourfolds, ten trebles and ten doubles.
Versus Bet opened at 42 Michael Street in Waterford last month, employing several local staff.
