Waterford man pleads guilty to possessing drugs for unlawful sale or supply

Last week during a hearing of Waterford Circuit Court before Judge Eugene O'Kelly, a Waterford man pleaded guilty to a count of possessing drugs for unlawful sale or supply.
Louis McCarthy, with an address at Kildwan, Bunmahon, County Waterford, pleaded guilty to possessing a quantity of cannabis for the purpose of sale or supply.
Mr. McCarthy's defence counsel, Mr. Colman Cody SC, outlined during the court proceedings that the man is currently on bail and has a history of addiction.
Mr. Cody asked that Judge Eugene O'Kelly direct a probation and welfare report to be prepared to assist with sentencing.

The man was remanded to April 15 for mention.
