A judge in Waterford has accepted jurisdiction in the case of a man accused of stealing Easter eggs.

Brendan Behan (35), of 31 Ardmore Park, Ballybeg, appeared before Judge John Cheatle at Waterford District Court charged with the theft of €24 worth of Easter eggs from Tesco, Kilbarry, on April 4, 2026.

Judge Cheatle put the matter back to May 19 for the defendant to indicate a plea.
