Creed appeared at Waterford District Court.

A man has been fined €500 for possession of €50 worth of cannabis.

Luke Creed (38), Keswick, Maypark Lane, Waterford, appeared in Waterford District Court before Judge Kevin Staunton on a charge of possession of a controlled substance contrary to Section 3 of the Misuse of Drugs Act.

On December 11, 2025, Garda Liam Harty encountered Creed at a checkpoint at Adelphi Quay, Waterford.

Garda Harty could smell cannabis coming from Creed's vehicle. The defendant handed over €50 worth of cannabis to Garda Harty, citing it was for "personal use".

The court heard that Creed had four previous convictions, including a 2021 charge of sale and supply, which resulted in a two-year suspended sentence.

Judge Staunton ordered Creed to pay a €500 fine within the next four months.
