Waterford Gardaí investigate bus crashing into traffic lights
The bus smashed its window following a collision with a set of traffic lights in Waterford.
An investigation is taking place following an incident where a bus collided with a set of traffic lights in Waterford on Tuesday, July 9.
The bus was travelling on Bus Éireann's Route W5 that afternoon where, as a result of the collision, the window was shattered and the traffic lights were pulled from its structure.
Passengers were onboard the bus at time of the incident, but according to a Bus Éireann spokesperson, "there were no reported injuries and the service continued on a replacement vehicle," adding, "The safety of our passengers and staff is of paramount importance."
The matter has been referred to Gardaí.
