Waterford gardaí investigate €45,000 worth of damage caused to trains

Waterford gardaí are investigating an incident which caused €45,000 worth of damage to rail carriages earlier this month.
A spokesperson for An Garda Siochana in Waterford said that between 11pm on Saturday August 15 and 4am on Sunday August 16, three Irish Rail carriages at Plunkett Station Waterford were vandalised.
Multiple graffiti tags were sprayed onto the carriages, with damage caused totalling €45,000.
“This action means carriages are out of service while the graffiti is removed and can cause a disruption to services.
